Singapore Business Review awarded Canapii the Technology Excellence in Software award in the Start-up category. The recognition followed Canalys' first virtual event, which drew on more than a decade of world-leading in-house digital and events expertise - and the Canapii platform - to unite and bring together the IT channel after a tough pandemic year.
Canalys' events have historically brought together the top regional executives in the industry to network and connect. Knowing how important it was for the industry to reconnect and rebound into 2021, the team wanted to exceed its usual in-person attendance of 850 and attract new members of the industry from across the region. Hosting the gathering as a virtual event on Canapii made that possible.
The event featured the highest number of CEO-level speakers Canalys had ever hosted, with keynotes from Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing, Hewlett Packard Enterprise CEO Antonio Neri and then-VMware CEO Patrick Gelsinger. Over 80 speakers covered 80 sessions, including analyst updates, partner CEO interviews, topic-based digital huddles with vendors, and interviews with global channel leaders and regional chiefs from sponsors.
The Canapii platform ensured valuable content was delivered to attendees, maintained a strong level of engagement, and increased the event's overall reach across the region.
